Payment methods & tipping

We accept payments by credit/debit card or cash.

If you’d like to tip your stylist, first of all: thank you!  Tipping is by cash or payment app. (Talk to your stylist about which payment apps they use.) Tips can not be added onto card payments.

Green Circle fee

The hair industry’s dirty secret? Traditional salons send a massive amount of trash to landfills every year. Serpentine has opted out of that system by proudly embracing Green Circle Salons’ regenerative waste streams.  The program lets us recycle 95% of the waste generated in our business – including product containers, the hair we cut, foil from coloring services, color tubes, and more. The $4 Green Circle fee you see on your bill supports our efforts to create a cleaner, greener world.

Not feeling well?

Please reschedule your appointment if you’re ill – even if it’s “just a cold.” We appreciate you keeping the salon environment safe for our immune-compromised clients. (And for us!)

Running late?

We get it! Life is unpredictable. If you’ll be more than 15 minutes late for your appointment, please call us at 984-444-3422. We’ll do our best to accommodate you in the time we have available. 

If we do need to reschedule your appointment, a cancellation fee may be applied.

Cancellations & no-shows

If you need to reschedule or cancel your appointment, please give us 24 hours notice. That lets us fill the time slot so we can protect our stylists’ income. 

Cancellations within 24 hours of your appointment (and no-shows) will be charged the full amount of your scheduled service, using the card on file. 

Product returns

We want you to love any products you take home with you. 

During your appointment, you’ll get hands-on experience with our products, so you’ll know how to use them and what they can do for your hair.

If you’re not 100% sure about a product we’re using during your service, we recommend giving it a day or so to see how it wears. Then you can call in your order and we’ll have it ready for you to pick up!

After your purchase, returns are accepted only for defective packaging – like a faulty spray or pump.

FAQ

Can I bring a picture of the style I want?

Absolutely. We love reference photos – of what you love and what you don’t love. Celebrity photos, selfies from your own style archive, the more the merrier!

I don’t really know what I want. Can you help me figure it out?

Yes! We’ll ask you lots of questions – about your hair, your styling habits, and your ideal look. We’ll work with you, informed by your answers and what will work for your hair. If you’re going for a big transformation and are having doubts, feel free to book a free 15-minute consultation. We love having time to connect the dots between your vision and our expertise!

What does it mean to be an eco-friendly salon?

It means we’re just as passionate about sustainable practices as we are about your hair!

What accessibility measures do you have in place for clients with disabilities?

Our shampoo bowls, bathroom, and salon chairs are fully wheelchair accessible.

University Place offers plenty of accessible parking spaces. But please contact us before your appointment so we can arrange for the closest possible parking.

If you need additional accommodations, please get in touch! We’re here to make your visit seamless.

It’s my first time visiting. is it easy to park?

Yes! There’s plenty of free parking at the salon. You can park anywhere at University Place. We still recommend giving yourself extra time, especially the first time you visit.
